Princess Sophie Rides Tony the Pony to Victory!

Princess Sophie and Tony the Pony had an amazing show! They were entered in 9 classes in 2 divisions and pinned in all but one class...(and that was just a walking class.) They also won their first FIRST and SECOND place ribbons and RESERVE CHAMPION in the Mini Mini Stirrup Division!!! Tony the Pony was wonderful considering this was HIS first show. He loved it so much he was wishing we had entered more classes!

The entire Elk Run show team performed well and ribbons of all colors were flying from the tailgate tents. The little girls also triumphed over nerves and anxiety and all the girls were good sports and gracious winners. All thanks to the amazing training by Sarah! Ms. Robin's older girls did very well too. Everyone should be very proud. Hooray for the ELK RUN SHOW TEAM!!!!

King's Run Show June 6, 2008

It was a crazy show day. All the horses were a bit frisky. Sophie handled a scary moment in her jump class with poise and grace. Not even a tear. Like the good sport that she is, she got right back up and finished the day. As you can tell from the right, she still loves Mickey and forgives him for misbehaving. She's already looking forward to the next show and has asked for an extra lesson this week.

Sophie's first horse show! She and mom spent ALL afternoon Saturday, from 1pm til after 7:30 pm, getting ready for the show today. She had a private lesson to get ready and then it was cleaning tack, bubble bath and lots of brushing for her pony, Mickey. It was his first full show as well. They both did a great job! This was also the first time her trainer, Sarah, had one of her students show. Sarah has lots of experience in the show ring but this was her first as a trainer. We love Sarah!!!

Mini stirrup division - 5th in walk, no pin in walk/trot, 4th in walk/trot pleasure, 5th in walk/trot/back, and 6th jumping x-rails!

She's ready to do it all again in 2 weeks
